Delicious. Great aesthetic, great fun service, great (but not overwhelming) beer list, amazing food menu that is far better than 'normal pub food'. Always impressed here. We will be back (again)

Just came off season. Quiet, cozy, and full of personality. Starting with the service, very accommodating, personable, genuine..spoke English and French, of course. Just over all very nice. The food was outstanding. It's a big menu and we had many different options. Y he calamari and all the tartars were to die for. The grilled octopus was more of a really g good salad with octopus in it vs vice versa resulting in really good sun died tomatoes. The duck was not what was expected but the steak and burgers were really good. I'd say they had the best poutine I've tasted in Montreal, full of flavor, not fatty or overwhelming by any means.. Atmosphere- perfect.. nice deco with good vibes. I highly recommend a visit but I imagine it's packed in the summer.

The attention and customer service is extraordinary and food is just amazing. Great time there. Highly recommended! Certainly we will come back.

Wanted to eat in a new place, so we found this. Amazing food and service. We tried steak with fries and beef tartar. Clearly, we'll go back.

The food was excellent and the service was superbe, in english and french.

We went here a couple of times, really enjoyed it both times. Their beer selection is excellent, and the wait staff are very knowledgeable about the beers, and the food. The food was consistently great from dish to dish across each visit. Comfortable atmosphere with very cool alternative rock, but not intrusive.

First of all before writing a review! I've looked at the bad ones! And believe me I'm a restaurant manager no name needed! But the bad reviews are so malicious and not right...full of bs.now my review and it's the first time I've been to this restaurant on Tuesday April 22nd for my friend b-day... I'm from Montreal and we were 4people! The music was great and not to loud.the atmosphere and ambience was amazing but the food omg crab cakes and roast beef for 2 perfectly cooked medium rare and the vegetables & patatos puree was outstanding merci Mila

Ordered the fish and chips and the lobster pasta. Both dishes were great. The service was fast and good. The music was a little loud but that may have been because we were seated right under a speaker. I highly recommend Barils Ardoises over Shawbridge Pub. The food is a million times better and it is cheaper.
